As he says in one poem, "after being driven outside by loneliness, he found company in all the golden leaves covering the street." The " Blessed Earth " of the title is delicately observed and learned from as the author escapes to the mountains and beaches.
Yet as always with the author\'s ear to spirit and simple joys.
These poems reflect the isolation of sheltering at home and the divisive politics of the time.
