He is now retired and was talked into illustrating this book by his daughter, Beth Howell. He spent four years creating the wonderfully detailed pages of Dear Mrs. Magootie, adding in whimsy and fun at every point possible. He currently lives in Roanoke, Virginia and enjoys his time golfing as often as he can.
