Accompanied by one hundred color illustrations, this volume\'s publication marks the five hundredth anniversary of the Field of Cloth of Gold, which took place in 1520 and is considered the greatest tournament of the Tudor age. About author(s): Tobias Capwell , FSA, is curator of the arms and armour collection at the Wallace Collection, London. He is an expert on the study of medieval and Renaissance armour and a skilled competitor in the modern competitive jousting community. He is the author of several books including, most recently, Arms and Armour of the Joust , also published by Royal Armouries.
