Together, they engraved in their children to care and advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves, who in turn share the same passion for serving the community.
Fluent in helping children and young adults with multiple abilities, Kathy and her husband William have supported and paved the path in the local special needs community starting in their own home.
She is dedicated to continued education and life skill development for her son Derek, with Autism, and grandson Michael, who is affected by cerebral palsy.
She served on the original board for a Wilmington, NC Autism Parent Support group.
