His work has won awards from the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association, Associated Press Managing Editors, and Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association.
Currently the full-time outdoors editor for the Tribune-Review newspaper in Pittsburgh, he has also written for a variety of local, regional and national outdoor magazines, as well as more general interest publications.
Frye is by training a journalist, too, having worked as a full time writer for nearly two decades.
