Having always been an active person, the author couldn\'t understand what was happening to her.

When she finally able to see a doctor, the diagnosis wasn\'t good.
Being out of work with no insurance and no money for a doctor, it was a while before she would be able to find out what was going on.
Even sitting became a problem.
She could no longer walk or stand for any length of time.
