Her husband of more than six decades, Frank (Sonny) Williamson, Jr., is also a fifth generation Floridian. Crediting her parents and teachers for her inspiration, she has published stories in local and regional newspapers, magazines and created two books based on the history of Okeechobee County. "Strolling Down Country Roads: A Pictorial History of Okeechobee" is still in demand and her second, most recent publication, "Pilots That Have Flown into the Okeechobee County Airport in the Twentieth Century" provides a unique and interesting aspect of local history.
