Her research has been supported by the NSF (2009-2018), NIH (1994-2003), and the Keck foundation (2001-2003). She\'s a volunteer comedienne with Science Riot, which brings science to the public through stand-up routines, and is the lead singer on Rejoice! an album of songs for activists.
