He has also taught in China.He is a past president of the Wesleyan Theological Society and a member of the Society of Biblical Literature. Laura Sweat Holmes is associate professor of New Testament and associate dean of graduate studies at Seattle Pacific University and Seminary, where she has taught since 2010. She earned a B.A. in religious studies and history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.Div. and a Ph.D. (biblical studies) from Princeton Theological Seminary.
