John McAuliffe is an Irish poet whose collections include, most recently, The Kabul Olympics (Gallery Press) and his versions of the Bosnian poet Igor Klikovac, Stockholm Syndrome (SmithDoorstop). He is also an editor of the magazine PN Review , Associate Publisher at Carcanet, and Professor of Poetry at the University of Manchester\'s Centre for New Writing. In 1969 Michael Schmidt was a founder of Carcanet Press, where he remains Editorial Director and has been associated with all eight New
Poetries anthologies. He is also an editor of the magazine PN Review , a poet, literary historian, and teacher.
