In addition to drawing comics he plays in a rock band called James Kochalka Superstar and designs video games (Glorkian Warrior and its prequel Glorkbot\'s Mini-Adventure).
Dragon Puncher Island won an Eisner award in 2012 for "Best Publication for Early Readers," but he\'s also won the Harvey award and four Ignatz awards for his books for adults.
That\'s kind of like being the state flower, but even better! He\'s the author and illustrator of several popular children\'s book series, including Johnny Boo, Dragon Puncher, and The Glorkian Warrior.
