He is the book review editor for Insight News, a Black community newspaper in the Twin Cities.
He has also been recognized by the International Society of Poets as one of its "Best New Poets of 2003," and is a guest writer for Wyatt O\'Brian Evans (The Huffington Post, the Washington Post, the Advocate).
He is an original member of the 3-time Grammy Award-winning ensemble, Sounds of Blackness. in psychology from Luther College, with a minor in Black studies.
