Born and raised in Buenos Aires, he aspired in his younger years to become the ideal Argentine: an Italian who speaks Spanish, dresses like an Englishman, and lives in Paris.
Juan is a well-loved character in sailing circles, and continues to be a prominent winning sailor and regatta organizer in New England.
He is also Chairman Emeritus of the Seamanship Committee at the New York Yacht Club.
Corradi is Professor Emeritus of Sociology at New York University.
