When she shared her story with others, she found that she was not alone in experiencing paranormal events at Broughton Hospital.
When she was least expecting it, a paranormal event took place in front of her.
Contrary to popular belief, Margaret does not look for ghosts.
She has been working nights for most of the last 17 years.
She became a nurse in 1993 and went to work at Broughton Hospital in 1994.
This is her first effort at writing a book.
As far as writing goes, Margaret has been writing poetry since her high school days.
They have many interests which include photography, traveling, cooking, metal detecting, and dancing.
About the Author: Margaret Langley now lives in eastern North Carolina with her husband Lew.
The hospital itself, an old Kirkbride design, is a valuable historical artifact, and is still in use today.
Margaret tells the stories she collected from her peers as well as things she experienced while working there during her 16 1/2 years.
Formerly called the Western North Carolina Insane Asylum, the facility definitely has many unexplained happenings. (the author) and her co-workers during the Graveyard Shift at Broughton Hospital, a 100-plus year old psychiatric facility for mentally ill patients in Western North Carolina.
